We started the week with beautiful Fall weather. It just isn't Fall unless there is jumping into leaf piles! Think win win! Children love to look for opportunities to help others. Being proactive! Students in first grade have been learning sight words, with movement! Sharpen the saw! Kindergarten students are reading, and they love reading to their animal buddies! Beginning with the end in mind! We had a Tie Tuesday! We had our once a month fun day, and it was a mismatch day. We had our once a month school store with student leaders, and it was caramel apple suckers. All of the money earned goes towards students and things like our end of the year school carnival. Beginning with the end in mind! Students are participating in the Mayor's walking challenge this month, and the Mayor came to visit this week. Sharpen the saw! The highlight of the week was celebrating the end of the 1st quarter, with our first Sharpen the Paw of the school year! Older students were so kind! They helped younger students find their classrooms and assisted with activities. We expect all of our kids to be models for others, leaders to follow! Being proactive! Then students were off! We had art, drawing, fitness activities, social skills games, dancing, drawing, STEM, drums, technology integration, writing, and more!
