The Twin Falls School District is proud to announce the launch of a new free preschool program to prepare local children for academic success. Operating out of Perrine Elementary School, the TFSD Preschool Academy will officially begin on August 31.
The Preschool Academy is specifically designed for children aged 4 and 5 who reside within the Perrine, Lincoln, and Harrison elementary school attendance zones. To ensure a focused and supportive environment, all enrolled students must be fully potty-trained prior to the start of the school year.
Led by a certified early childhood education teacher, the curriculum will incorporate play-based learning and academic preparation. The program emphasizes a blend of vital kindergarten readiness skills and fun, ensuring children develop a lifelong love for school.
To accommodate families, the preschool will offer two distinct daily sessions:
Morning Session: 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 12:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
"We are incredibly excited to extend this resource to our families in the Perrine, Lincoln, and Harrison neighborhoods," said Nancy Murphy, Director of Elementary Programs. "Investing in early childhood education lays a crucial foundation for our students' future success, and providing a certified, play-based environment for free allows us to support our community in a deeply impactful way."
Parents and guardians interested in enrolling their children or learning more about the registration process are encouraged to contact the Twin Falls School District office at 208-733-6900 or Nancy Murphy at murphyna@tfsd.org. Space is limited, and early application is highly recommended. APPLICATION LINK: https://forms.gle/tZ7BasWd47QPLXLy6
