We are thrilled to announce that the Twin Falls School District (TFSD) will once again offer free meals to students at 11 of our schools for the 2024-25 school year under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This fantastic news ensures that all students in these schools can receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches at no cost, helping to support their health and academic success.

What is the Community Eligibility Provision?

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a federal program that allows schools in high-poverty areas to provide free meals to all students without requiring them to apply for meal benefits. By participating in CEP, TFSD can ensure that no child goes hungry, reducing food insecurity and alleviating the financial burden on families.

Which Schools are Eligible?

The following 11 schools in our district will participate in CEP for the 2024-25 school year:

Bickel Elementary School
Harrison Elementary School
Perrine Elementary School
Lincoln Elementary School
Oregon Trail Elementary School
Morningside Elementary School
Bridge Academy
Robert Stuart Middle School
South Hills Middle School
Canyon Ridge High School
Magic Valley High School

Benefits of the CEP

Improved Nutrition: Students have access to balanced meals that are essential for their physical and mental development.
Academic Success: Studies show that well-nourished students perform better academically. Free meals help students stay focused and energized throughout the day.
Reduced Stigma: By providing free meals to all students, we eliminate the stigma associated with receiving free or reduced-price lunches.
Ease for Families: Families do not need to fill out meal applications or worry about meal accounts, simplifying their daily routines.

Our Commitment

TFSD is committed to the well-being and success of our students. By participating in CEP, we are taking an important step towards ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive both in and out of the classroom. We encourage all families to take advantage of this program and support their children in making healthy food choices.

We look forward to another successful school year filled with learning, growth, and nutritious meals for all!
